Ubu Productions was a television production company formed in the 1980s by Gary David Goldberg, the creator of the hit sitcoms "Family Ties" and "Spin City". The company produced a number of popular television shows during its heyday, including:
"Family Ties" (1982-1989) - A comedy series about the Keaton family, starring Michael J. Fox as Alex P. Keaton.
"The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd" (1987-1991) - A dramedy series about Molly Dodd, a single woman living in New York City.
"Brooklyn Bridge" (1991-1993) - A period comedy-drama about a Jewish family living in 1950s Brooklyn.
"Spin City" (1996-2002) - A political sitcom set in the New York City Mayor's office, starring Michael J. Fox and later Charlie Sheen.
"The Tracy Morgan Show" (2003) - A short-lived sitcom about Tracy Mitchell, a Blue-collar mechanic with a passion for music.
Ubu Productions' shows were known for their wit, humor, and heart, and many of them enjoyed long runs on television and critical acclaim. Despite the company's success, it closed its doors in 2002 after Gary David Goldberg passed away from Brain Cancer.
